Ruba Shanti

Ruba Shanti is a Programme Associate working with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Jerusalem/Palestine. She is responsible for handling all related food security research, data collection, analyzing economic trends for deductions, creating economic forecasts, and keeping an ongoing watch over all economic movements and trends at the national, local, and international level. In 2005, she was a Teaching Assistant in Economics Department at Birzeit University. Then, she worked as Development Economist with UNCTAD in Palestine (2006). In 2007, she worked as Research Assistant with Centre for Continuing Education (Birzeit University) and Ministry of Finance (Palestine). From 2008 to 2009, she worked as an Economic Researcher in Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA). She also was the co-author of the paper
