Currently, I am a doctoral student at institute of food and resource economics at University of Bonn. I got my M.A. in economics (Applied Trade Policy Analysis) and took my B.A in economics. I have taken several professional trainings on CGE modeling, GAMS software, and applied Micro econometrics by renowned professors with several years of experience in teaching and research. I have a great deal of experience in macro-economic modeling. I have played vital role in teaching CGE modeling and GAMS software for university masters students and experts at different government offices. I also used CGE modeling for Ethiopia several times. I also applied CGE modeling to examine agricultural productivity, public investment, role of livestock, and public services. My areas of research are multi sectoral and goes beyond national boundaries. I have been working as a research officer at International Food Policy Research Institute (Ethiopian Strategic Support Program) where I have producer several policy relevant papers independently and jointly with various known international researchers. Before I joined IFPRI I used to teach at Arba Minch University where I lectured core departmental courses. I am fluent in English and Amharic languages.
