Emmanuel O. Nwosu has been a Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Nigeria since October 2021 and was the Head of the Department of Economics from August 2020 to July 2022. He has been a member of AGRODEP since 2013, a researcher at the African Economic Research Consortium, the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP) and affiliated with J-PAL, CEGA and DIWA. He was a visiting scholar at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Washington D.C. He holds a Master’s Degree in Monetary Economics. He also holds a Master’s degree in Economic Policy Management from the University of Tsukuba, Japan and a PhD in Economics. He has conducted several funded research and published many articles in refereed journals indexed in Clarivate Analytics and SJR. His areas of research interest include development economics, impact evaluation, health economics, labour market, gender, poverty and income distribution.
