Dr Phionah Namuliira is a Research Fellow at the Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC), Makerere University, with experience in quantitative analysis, development research and policy analysis. She holds a PhD in Economics and an MA in Economics from the University of Dar es Salaam, both funded by consecutive African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) scholarships, as well as a Bachelor of Statistics degree from Makerere University. She is a development economist who has published and presented research in education, labour markets, gender, poverty & welfare, and economic transformation. Dr Namuliira is committed to producing evidence-based insights to inform policy in Uganda and other low- and middle-income countries.
