Gulled Yasin

Dr. Gulled Mohamed Yasin is an education policy researcher, Assistant Professor at the University of Hargeisa, and Senior Technical Advisor to Somaliland/Somalia’s Ministry of Education and Science. His work focuses on foundational learning, teacher quality, education data systems, curriculum reform, and climate-sensitive education planning in fragile and post-conflict contexts. He holds a PhD in Education and an MSc in Research, Data Analysis and Statistical Methods. He has over 10 years of experience linking research, policy, and implementation, including national education reforms, teacher development, quality assurance, and evidence-informed planning. His current research agenda seeks to use rigorous local data to improve teacher support, school improvement, and education policy decision-making in Somaliland/Somalia and wider Sub-Saharan Africa.
