Francis Gyedu Obeng

Francis Gyedu Obeng is an education-policy researcher and PhD candidate in Economics Education at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, where he serves as a Course Tutor and Teaching Practice Supervisor. His research focuses on the economics of education, education financing, educational inequality, foundational learning outcomes, and the application of artificial intelligence in education. Francis has published empirical studies in peer-reviewed journals, including the European Journal of Education, Computers and Education: Artificial Intelligence, SAGE Open, Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence, Frontiers in Education, and SN Social Sciences. He has also contributed to international conferences, book chapters, and interdisciplinary research projects. Through his research, teaching, and policy engagement, he seeks to advance evidence-informed education financing and improve learning opportunities for disadvantaged communities in Ghana and across Africa.
