Soumaïla Gansonré

Soumaila is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Centre Universitaire de Ziniare of Université Joseph Ki-Zerbo in Burkina Faso. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Applied Agricultural Economics and Policy from the University of Ghana. His research is at the intersection of development and agriculture. Most of Soumaila’s research focuses on smallholder farmers and Small and Medium Sized Entreprises in developing countries, and on the relationship between agriculture, climate, markets, and economic outcomes for these economic agents; with a special interest in welfare dynamics. He has strong quantitative and microeconometric skills that can be applied to wide spectrum of economic problems. Soumaila has published several papers in decent field and general interest journals, including Agricultural Economics, Review of income and Wealth, International Journal of the Economics of Business, as well as other field journals.
