Innocent Akampurira is the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Manager for Building Tomorrow, where she leads the organization’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Master’s in Statistics from Makerere University, Innocent brings a strong analytical background to her role. Previously, she served as a Building Tomorrow Fellow in Kamuli district, working closely with four rural schools to implement and accelerate learning interventions using the TaRL methodology. Her experience as a Learning coordinator involved supporting the roll-out of a randomized control trial (RCT) investigating the effects of combining learning interventions with capacity support for school leadership and community mobilization. Passionate about the growth of the education sector, Innocent is dedicated to driving innovation, policy change, and renewed curricula and pedagogies. She advocates for increased government funding in education and plans to pursue a PhD in Economics to further her research skills and contribute to building evidence and knowledge in the field. In her free time, Innocent enjoys exploring various forms of philosophy through engaging conversations and reading thought-provoking books.
