Constantine Manda

Constantine Manda is the co-founder and Director of the Impact Evaluation Lab at Tanzania's Economic & Social Research Foundation. He has experience in impact evaluation, specifically randomized experimental evaluations, since 2011, mostly in sub-Saharan Africa. Constantine's work with others, published in the Quarterly Journal of Economics, has led to national policy change in education in Tanzania and his work has been funded by the Hewlett Foundation; the World Bank Group; Wellspring Philanthropic; and Yale University's Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies. Constantine is a former World Economic Forum Global Shaper and sits on various Boards both within and outside of Tanzania including the Research and Development Advisory Committee on Basic Science at Tanzania's Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH). Along with others, Constantine is also a co-founder of the Network for Impact Evaluation Researchers in Africa (NIERA). Constantine has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Economics, Public Policy, and Political Science from Xavier University, the University of Chicago, and Yale University, respectively.
