Sarah Ephrida Tione

I hold a PhD in Economics obtained at the School of Economics and Business (HH), Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). My research focus is on Development and Agricultural Economics.

From August 2021, I joined the Department of Agriculture Economics at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR), as a postdoc research fellow, under a collaborative project between LUANAR and NMBU named "Experiments for Development of Climate Smart Agriculture (SMARTEX)". I am working on research related to "Governance of Agricultural Land, Land Markets and Food Security in Malawi." After my PhD studies, I also resumed working as the Principal Economist in the Department of Planning, Ministry of Agriculture in Malawi.
