Peter Nderitu

Mr. Peter Nderitu is currently the Senior Programmes Manager at PEP and he is based at the Head Office in Nairobi- Kenya.

Mr. Nderitu is a graduate from the University of Nairobi and he holds an MA in Sociology (2006) and BA in Social Work (1997). Before joining PEP, he served for continuous seventeen years in senior leadership, programme management, resource mobilization and partnership development as well as in policy advocacy with international non-governmental organizations with postings in Kenya, West Africa and Asia and work assignments in Southern Africa, Eastern Africa and Europe.

He is an experienced social researcher and development practitioner who is a firm promoter of use of evidence generated through research to influence policy decisions and inform design and development of high impact change programmes that transform the lives of youth, women and other vulnerable groups and communities in developing economies. 

Some of the recent studies that he has undertaken in the last two years include; conduct of research on Socio-economic contribution of Culture and Creative Economy Sector in Kenya, The Impact of Devolution on Marginalization in Kenya, Segmentation of Retirement Benefits Schemes in Kenya, Development of Universal Health Care Program for County Government of Meru, The Status of Creative Economy in Nairobi County, Impact of Crime on Private Sector in Kenya, Strengthening the administration of justice and operationalizing alternatives to imprisonment in Kenya, Legal and Policy Research and Analysis of the Environment and Natural Resource Governance in Kenya, Terrorism and Youth Violence in Kenya and Scoping Study on the Response to Covid-19 Pandemic at local and international levels among others.

He has also been involved in the publication of the outcome of some of the above work and he is experienced in coordinating professional teams in the delivery of quality and high impact interventions.
