I am a researcher at the Center for Distributive, Labor, and Social Studies (CEDLAS) and Full Professor of Economics at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP), Argentina. I hold a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in Economics from UNLP.
My research focuses on public economics, fiscal policy, income distribution, and fiscal federalism, with an emphasis on the distributional effects of public spending, taxation, and energy subsidies in developing and emerging economies. My work has been published in international journals such as Journal of International Money and Finance, Energy Economics, IMF Economic Review, International Tax and Public Finance, Public Finance Review, and The Journal of Federalism, among others.
I have worked as a consultant for the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, and I was a Visiting Economist at the Inter-American Development Bank in 2017.
