Etayibtalnam KOUDJOM

Etayibtalnam Koudjom is a previous Research Fellow at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa’s, Sub-Regional Office for North Africa in Rabat, Morocco. Prior to this position, he was a Research Fellow at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iaşi, Romania. He was the winner of the Prize for Doctoral Research in Economics edition 2021 at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Lomé, Togo. His recent research and publications in major journals focus on access to education and youth employment, gender inequalities, climate change and agricultural production, entrepreneurial education to meet key development challenges, and human capital acquisition in African countries. He has worked as a consultant for the IMF, AERC and FAO. Etayibtalnam holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Lomé and spent over a year doing research at the University of Yaoundé II in Cameroon, thanks to the European Union’s Erasmus Mundus program. To date, numerous papers from his thesis have been accepted and brilliantly presented at international conferences, focusing on “the challenge of creating better jobs and development”. Since November 2019, Etayibtalnam Koudjom has been a member of the African Union Scientific, Technical and Research Commission (AU-STRC), and an associate researcher at the Research Team in Agricultural and Applied Economics (ERE2A), University of Lomé, Togo.
