Catherine Manthalu is an Economist by profession and training. She is qualified with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science (Economics) from the University of Malawi. She has over 6 years of work experience in the public sector which has equipped her with skills in research, policy analysis, supervision of financial institutions, as well as planning, monitoring, and evaluation of projects implemented in the public sector. She has worked with the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Development as an Economist. Currently, she is working with the Reserve Bank of Malawi under the Department of Microfinance and Capital Markets Supervision but has since been seconded to the Export Development Fund of Malawi where she is heading a department of Markets and Research.
