I have 9 years extensive experience working as an Economist in public sector coupled with 3 years working with a Multilateral Agency as a lead consulting statistician in analyzing and managing large data sets (observatory) for the Northern Corridor Transport Observatory- a tool for monitoring performance for trade facilitation in East African countries to ensure economic development and integration. I am well versed in research for public policy development and implementation in the social and macroeconomic sectors.
I am conversant with development and application of macroeconomic models including IMPACT model, KIPPRA - Treasury Macroeconomic Model for policy analysis and for building different policy scenarios to determine avenues for economic growth; technical efficiency models such as DEA, Education Policy & Strategy Simulation Model (EPSSM), modeling demographic dividend using DemDiv model, randomized evaluation and econometric analysis using statistical software packages including; STATA, E-Views, SPSS, NVIVO, ArcGIS for mapping and spatial analysis, Python and Ms Excel.
As part of policy implementation, I have hands on experience in monitoring and evaluation for programs enshrined in policy including development of M&E and logical frameworks. Furthermore, I am a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. I am knowledgeable of the East Africa macroeconomics and policy environment and context.
