Rosaine is a national of Benin and works as Assistant Professor at the Faculté d’Agronomie, Université de Parakou (Bénin). He holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics and Rural Development from the University of Giessen (Germany). He has 6 years of experience in designing and managing studies and evaluation researches, and most importantly in analysing field surveys data and reporting results. He has a good expertise in using of both qualitative and quantitative approaches to social science research through the use of group discussion and questionnaire-based techniques for data collection. He has published in leading journals such as Land Use Policy (Elsevier), Agronomy for Sustainable Development (Springer), Climate Risk and Management (Elsevier), Climate and Development (Taylor & Francis), Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews (Elsevier), Agricultural Systems (Elsevier) and Outlook on Agriculture (SAGE). He is also reviewer for some of scientific journals, namely Climatic Change (Springer), Climate and Development (Taylor & Francis) and Land Use Policy (Elsevier). He also worked on the national survey on mapping the interventions and actors in maternal and children health in Benin; commissioned by the UNICEF in 2011. Rosaine has worked for a number of national and international organisations such as the National Agricultural Research System of Benin (PAPA/INRAB), the Africa Rice Center, the World Bank’s Gender Innovation Lab and the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie). Between 2010 and 2015, he was involved in a number of studies and research projects funded by various organizations among which are the UNICEF, the Centre for Environmental Economics and Policy in Africa (CEEPA), the Council for the Development of Social Science research in Africa (CODESRIA), the West Africa Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) and the International Foundation for Science (IFS).
