BIOGRAPHY
Esther OGOUNIYI ADIMI is Beninese researcher since 2019 at LARDES which is affiliated to the Department of Economics and Rural Sociology of the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Parakou in Benin. She holds a PhD in Rural Development Economics from the University of Parakou in Benin and a Master’s degree in Project Management at the University of Abomey-Calavi in Benin.
Its research focus is on the economics of education, gender, the occupational integration of young people and the performance of farms. She has presented scientific papers at scientific conferences and published scientific papers in national and international journals. She is a Team leader of the PIERI 20374 project team of the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP) where they implemented a randomized controlled trial (RCT) in Benin to test an integrated approach to gender-differentiated agricultural producer capacity building and PIERI 20580 to testing the levels of knowledge, attitudes and practices of soybean producers facing Covid 19 and analyzing the strategies developed by the producers in the face of the epidemic as well as support they believe should be prioritized.
She also has 20 years of experience in development practice in i) Head of Monitoring and Evaluation of a Rural Development Project at ROSE-Echanges and financed by the FAO in Benin and ii) coordination of several projects of education and vocational integration of girls in LARES and financed by the Swiss Cooperation.
She also involved in consultation teams in Benin and the sub-region funded by several partners such as Swiss Cooperation, Aid and Action, World Bank, European Union, ECOWAS, GIZ, USAID, Louvain Cooperation and Belgian NGO Eclosio around the missions of institutional capacity building, monitoring and evaluation of projects, formulation and evaluation of projects of development in gender, local development, rural development, food security, education and literacy.
