Charles Banda

Mr Charles Banda is a Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Zambia in the Economics Department teaching Introduction to Macroeconomics, Introduction to Microeconomics, Advanced Microeconomics, Advanced Macroeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Public Sector Economics (Public Finance), International Trade, International Finance and Labour Economics. He currently also teaches Economics: Global and Firm Level Perspectives to MBA students under the Graduate School of Business of the University of Zambia. He has also been a Teaching Assistant in Macroeconomics for Policy, Microeconomics for Policy and Monetary Economics in the Master of Arts in Economic Policy Management at the University of Zambia since 2011. He is also an approved Tutor, since 2012, for Herriot Watt University (UK) Edinburgh Business School MBA programme teaching Economics and Derivatives on part- time basis. Prior to his appointment as a Lecturer at the University of Zambia, he worked as an Economist at the National Food and Nutrition Commission of Zambia, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health. Charles has taught various post- graduate and undergraduate programmes on a part- time basis under University of South Africa (UNISA), University of Lusaka, and the Copperbelt University among others. Charles has planned and coordinated various assignments funded by government and different multilateral agencies in research, capacity building, Monitoring & Evaluation, and planning. He is currently involved in research in Health, Public Finance, and macroeconomics and Competition.
