Mwimba Chewe is a Staff Development Fellow in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the University of Zambia. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with distinction from the University of Zambia and is currently in her second year, pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Economics at the University of Zambia. From 2015, she has worked on a number of research projects and thus has experience in conducting empirical research, specifically, data collection, data analysis and literature review. Her research interests are in the fields of Macroeconomics, Health Economics and Labor Economics. She is passionate about the use of economic theory and research to inform policy and decision making especially in developing countries. Also, she enjoys being challenged and welcomes any opportunity to learn not only through rigorous study but also through innovative applications of economic theory and empirical literature to solve problems facing developing countries like Zambia.
