Maliha Abubakari

Dr. maliha Abubakari holds a PhD in Development Administration, National Institute of Development Administration, Bangkok, Thailand. Her area of specialisation is Policy and Management and she is currently interested in researching on issues bordering poverty,  inequality, social policy, social protection and development policy.


Dr. Maliha Abubakari has just been recruited as a Lecturer in the Department of Political

Science within the Faculty Social Studies at the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana.  Dr.

Maliha Abubakari is currently a team member on a project to investigate the key policy options

for growth and gainful employment in Ghana under the Partnership for Economic Policy’s

Policy Analysis on Growth and Employment.


Dr. Maliha Abubakari has received a number of awards including a PhD Fellowship from the National Institute of Development Administration, Bangkok, Thailand from 2014-2017. She also received the 2016: National Institute of Development Administration/Indiana University Exchange Programme Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, USA. Dr. Maliha Abubakari has published in a number of international journals including the Journal of Positive Community Practices, Environmental Management and Sustainable Development and the Journal of Public Administration and Governance
