Synthia Santana has experience in studies addressing the productivity and innovation of Brazilian firms. Over 13 years she has studied the determinants of firm innovation and recently has been working on family and gender topics, focusing on women-led firms. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Sao Paulo School of Economics - FGV (2016), a Master in Economics from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2012), and a Bachelor's degree in economics from the same institution (2009). Her main research topics are Development and Innovation.
