Synthia Santana has experience in studies addressing the productivity and innovation of Brazilian firms. Over 10 years she has studied the determinants of firm innovation and recently has been working on firm-level data of the Brazilian companies through panel data analysis. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Sao Paulo School of Economics - FGV (2016), Master in Economics from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2012) and Bachelor's degree in economics from the same institution (2009). Her main research topics are Development and Innovation.
