Zerayehu Eshete

I earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Nairobi, School of Economics, in collaboration with the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), from 2010 to 2013. This intensive, year-round program combined coursework at the University of Dar es Salaam with research and dissertation work at the University of Nairobi, and included elective courses and a comprehensive examination administered by AERC to ensure international academic standards and quality. The program, conducted in English, is widely recognized as one of the leading initiatives for strengthening economics training and research capacity in Africa. I graduated on 6 December 2013, having successfully completed comprehensive examinations in Advanced Macroeconomics, Advanced Microeconomics, Advanced Econometrics, and Development Economics. I also earned a Diploma in Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) Modeling and GAMS after completing advanced training provided by the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) in collaboration with the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP) in Pretoria, South Africa.
