Alejandro Herrera Jiménez has a Master Degree in Economics and Finance from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics - Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Master and Bachelor in Economics from the Bolivian Catholic University, Diploma in Quantitative Methods and also in Higher Education, and Specialization courses in Impact Evaluation (CEDLAS-UNLP) and Labor Economics (BGSE-UPF). In 2015 he won the National Prize for the Best Thesis in Economics, awarded by the Central Bank of Bolivia. He was co-editor of the Latin American Journal of Economic Development LAJED. He is part of the scientific committee of the Bolivian Conference on Economic Development. He is currently a researcher at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Development (INESAD) and adjunct professor of econometrics at the Bolivian Catholic University. His research interests are labor economics, applied econometrics and economic development.
