Rahamatou Yacoubou holds an Engineer Degree in Agronomy (Natural resources Management and Planning) from the University of Abomey-Calavi in Benin, and also an MSc degree in Development from Gembloux Bio-Tech, University of Liege in Belgium. She is a woman with more than 16 years of experience in rural development. She has a solid empirical knowledge of rural development projects supported by her academic background in agronomy and rural development. She is very familiar with the implementation of mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative approaches) in agricultural development context. She has a unique perspective to support sampling strategy and data analysis from a holistic point of view which combines environment, agriculture, society and development theories and concepts. She worked on development analysis with a focus on gender issues. Her sector expertise in agriculture and related areas gives her a great insight to address complex evaluation questions with respect to rural development in sub-Saharan region.
