Christopher James Cabuay

Chris is an early-career economist and researcher. He is currently Associate Professor at the De La Salle University (DLSU) School of Economics (SOE), a Senior Research Fellow at the Angelo King Institute for Economic and Business Studies, and an Associate Editor of SOE’s journal, the DLSU Business and Economics Review. He completed his PhD in Economics at the Crawford School of Public Policy of the Australian National University, and his Master of Science in Economics at DLSU-SOE. He currently teaches Econometrics, Economic Development, and Methods of Research at DLSU-SOE. He also worked as a consultant, providing expertise on impact evaluation, at the Asian Development Bank, as well as other multinational companies. His research interest revolves primarily around economic development, with a particular focus on international migration and remittances, labor, education, gender equality, public health, applied microeconometrics, and impact evaluation.
