Dr. Bupe Simuchimba is a lecturer at Mulungushi University in Zambia. Dr. Simuchimba obtained her PhD in Economics from the University of Dar es Salaam under the sponsorship of the NUFFIC-NICHE project in November 2016. She also has a Master of Arts degree in Economics which she obtained from the University of Zambia after being awarded sponsorship by the central bank. She is interested in issues that play a prominent role in contributing to the development of the economy. These range from natural resource issues, energy economics, gender issues and health economics. She also has a kin interest in Computable General Equilibrium Models. Her recent publication can be found in the African Journal of Environmental Economics and Management.
