Sokhna Diarra MBOUP

Dr Sokhna Diarra MBOUP holds a PhD in economics at Université Gaston Berger, Saint-Louis, Senegal. She has more than ten (10) years of international experience as economist and researcher. His main skills thus include research and economic and quantitative analysis; she also has a very good knowledge of economic analysis tools such as Stata and GAMS. Her research interests include Macroeconomics, Poverty and Gender Inequality Analysis, Regional Integration and Computable General Equilibrium Models.

She is widely known for her interest in interacting with decision-makers for effective and fruitful decision-making support for the economic development of developing countries such as Senegal.

She is a researcher of the PEP network since 2015 and is currently Senior Economist at Ministry of Economy, Planning and Cooperation of the Senegal. 

She previously worked as a socio-economist consultant for Climate Analytics as part of a project (PAS-PNA) in collaboration with the Senegal Government.
