This project has the overall goal of reviewing youth employment policies in Kenya and their Impact. This will be achieved through a critical analysis and assessment of the contributions of the various identified employment policies on the economic and livelihood prospects for young people in Kenya. More specifically, the project will address the following interlinked objectives. o Provide a comprehensive review of youth employment policies and empirical studies. o Provide information and key lessons - on accelerating efforts to create work opportunities for youth the MCF can use in its efforts to influence and mobilize stakeholders in the target countries. o Provide empirical knowledge and best practices to inform country-level youth employment policy reviews and strategy development by governments in the target countries. o Identify key knowledge gaps that will inform the Mastercard Foundation’s research agenda for the future and its research work with other partners on this topic. o Support MCF in deepening its country-based engagements and building a community of practice by mobilizing research participants and a wide range of stakeholders. o Conduct a follow-up review of youth employment policies to document emergent changes in policies and practices since the first review
