Abstract

The proposed project seeks to investigate the extent of effectiveness of C:AVA Project in Ghana in respect of addressing gender inequalities and empowering women. The Cassava: Adding Value for Africa (C:AVA) Project is currently developing value chains for High Quality Cassava Flour (HQCF) in Ghana. This will improve the livelihoods and incomes of smallholder households as direct beneficiaries, including women and disadvantaged groups. It promotes the use of High Quality Cassava Flour (HQCF) as a versatile raw material for which diverse markets exist.
