Fan ZHAI joined China Investment Corporation in November 2009 as a Managing Director of Asset Allocation and Strategy Research Department. Previously, he was a Research Fellow at the Asian Development Bank Institute in Tokyo and an Economist in Economics and Research Department of the Asian Development Bank in Manila. He has also worked in the Ministry of Finance and the Development Research Center of the State Council in the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
Fan ZHAI holds a Ph.D. in system engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, PRC. He is an expert on applied general equilibrium modeling and has published articles in professional economics journals such as Journal of Comparative Economics, Journal of Asian Economics, Economic Modelling, Environment and Development Economics and Urban Studies. He and his co-authors were awarded the Sun Yefang Prize in 2002, which is the highest biennial award for economists in the PRC.
